Proman Sees Hope in Upcoming Budget Amid Gas Supply Uncertainty
Despite its recent announcement of workforce downsizing in Trinidad and Tobago due to uncertain natural gas supplies, Proman is looking forward to positive news in the upcoming budget presentation. Deputy Managing Director Giselle Thompson expressed optimism about the outlook for improved gas supply in the coming months and years.
In a statement, Thompson said that recent announcements within the energy sector have been encouraging, and the company expects even more positive developments. She noted that good news on gas supply is crucial to the continued sustainability of downstream industries.
Thompson spoke after Proman launched a new book chronicling the history of Industrial Plant Services Ltd (IPSL), now known as Proman Operations. The launch also marked the announcement of a new scholarship in honor of Clinton B. Ramberansingh, who made significant contributions to mentorship and technical training.
