PTT Group Shines at Gastech 2026 with Ambitious Energy Plans
PTT Group took center stage at Gastech 2026 in Thailand, showcasing its growing role in international energy discussions. Led by CEO Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, senior executives from PTT presented their expertise on natural gas, LNG, energy security, and sustainability to global leaders.
As co-host of the event, PTT demonstrated its integrated energy capabilities across the value chain, from upstream exploration and production to pipeline infrastructure and international trading. The participation of multiple PTT Group executives as speakers underscored the group's expertise in navigating the complex energy landscape and advancing Thailand's position as a regional energy cooperation and connectivity hub.
PTT emphasized the importance of natural gas in ensuring energy security, with a focus on diversifying supply sources and managing market volatility. The company plans to grow its global LNG trading business substantially over the next decade, targeting 10 million tonnes by 2030 and 15 million tonnes by 2035.
PTT also highlighted the need for balancing three priorities in the energy transition: energy security, affordable prices, and long-term sustainability. Natural gas and LNG were positioned as 'destination fuels' that can partner with renewable energy to add continuity and flexibility to power systems.
