The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government in Pakistan has been struggling to restore flour supplies from Punjab, resulting in higher prices across the province.

Despite efforts by the provincial administration, including contacting the federal and Punjab governments, as well as writing letters to the Food Department, restrictions on wheat and flour supply remain in place.

The K-P Assembly passed a resolution on the issue, with Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also reaching out to the Prime Minister for intervention. However, these efforts have been unsuccessful so far.

As a result, prices of special fine flour, fine flour, and mixed flour have increased by up to Rs100 per 20kg bag in local markets.
