Punjab Gold Prices Surge to ₹1,45,910 per 10 Grams in August
Gold prices in Punjab have been on an upward trend over the past few months. The latest data shows that the price of 24-carat gold per 10 grams has risen to ₹1,45,910 as of August 6th, up from ₹1,44,370 at the beginning of the month.
This increase marks a rising trend for gold prices in Punjab, with a change of ₹1,540 over the course of the month. The highest rate in August was also recorded on August 6th, at ₹1,45,910 per 10 grams.
In comparison to previous months, gold prices have shown mixed performance. In June, prices fell significantly, dropping from ₹1,57,180 to ₹1,42,070 per 10 grams by the end of the month. However, in May and April, prices rose steadily, with increases of ₹6,370 and ₹910 respectively.
The purity of gold is measured in karats, with 24K being the purest form but also the most expensive due to its high gold content. In contrast, 22K gold is alloyed with other metals for durability and is more commonly used in traditional Indian jewellery.
