Putin Commissions Facilities Under Social Gasification Programme
President Vladimir Putin commissioned several facilities under Russia's social gasification programme. This initiative aims to provide access to grid gas for millions of households, schools, and healthcare institutions.
The President emphasized that Russia holds the world's largest natural gas reserves and aims to utilize them to develop its economy and improve living standards.
Since 2005, the country has strengthened its gas infrastructure from 40 regions to 73. Over the past five years, over 1,250,000 households have gained access to grid gas.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller reported that his company is responsible for creating the entire gas supply chain and has connected nearly 2,150 settlements since 2021.
