QatarEnergy Extends LNG Supply Halt to Bangladesh Until November

QatarEnergy has extended its force majeure notices to Bangladesh and other Asian customers until November due to ongoing supply disruptions caused by the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz. The company's LNG exports have been severely affected, with only 18 cargoes exported through August compared to 509 during the same period last year.

The Strait of Hormuz remains closed amid the conflict, making it difficult for QatarEnergy to supply LNG to its customers. This development is expected to increase competition for limited LNG supplies as Europe prepares for the winter heating season, putting additional pressure on Asian buyers.
