Qatar's LNG Flows Resume, but Supply Squeeze Continues

Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) is once again crossing the Hormuz Strait, but the supply squeeze isn't over yet. A Qatari cargo reached Pakistan last week after becoming the first known LNG shipment from the country to cross the strait since July.

The move is being seen as an exception rather than a restart of operations. Traffic through the strait remains a fraction of pre-war levels, and LNG tankers have turned back mid-crossing before.

QatarEnergy is still cancelling contracted deliveries months out, adding to concerns about supply reliability.
