Quetta Flour Prices Soar Again Amid Wheat Shortages
Quetta has seen yet another rise in flour prices, with a 20kg bag now costing Rs2,920 after increasing by Rs70. This is part of an ongoing trend where flour prices have been rising for several days.
The main reason behind the increase in flour prices is attributed to higher wheat prices and supply difficulties. Flour mill owners said that procuring sufficient quantities of wheat has become a challenge, leading to increased production costs.
Citizens are concerned about the repeated price hikes, especially considering that household expenses are already under pressure due to inflation. Low-income families may find it particularly difficult to manage their budgets with such essential items like flour becoming increasingly expensive.
