Jeweller Raniwala 1881 expects strong demand this festive quarter despite shoppers waiting on gold prices. Co-founder Abhiyant Raniwala said buyers are taking their time due to unsteady gold prices.

The October to December quarter is usually the busiest of the year, with Diwali falling in it and the wedding season starting in November. Raniwala still expects a lot of activity as Indians love to celebrate and jewellery is a big part of that.

The change he sees is in timing - families used to buy six months or a year before a wedding, but now many are leaving it late, waiting until the last moment to see what happens with gold prices.

Raniwala 1881 is known for heavy wedding jewellery, but the company is now making more festival, Diwali and gifting pieces as well. Younger buyers are a big reason for this shift, wanting jewellery that can be worn often rather than just on special occasions.
