Record Wheat Exports Offset by Harvest Weather Concerns

Canadian wheat exports are off to a record pace in the current marketing year, with an estimated 3.1 million tonnes shipped out through the first six weeks of August-July.

This marks a 68% increase from the same time last year and sets a new record for the country's wheat export program.

The strong demand is partly due to Canada's previous record harvest, which produced 40.6 million tonnes of wheat in 2025-26, leaving behind ending stocks of 6.6 million tonnes.
