Riverside County Gas Prices Soar to Highest Level Since 2023

The average price of gasoline in Riverside County has reached its highest point since September 2023, according to recent data from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The current average is $6.146 per gallon, a 1.4 cent increase from the previous day. This marks the 36th consecutive day of price increases, with the average rising 62.6 cents over this period.

The national average price has also been affected by recent events, dropping one-tenth of a cent to $4.474 per gallon after a run of 21 increases in 22 days. However, it remains higher than this time last year, with an increase of $1.303 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel war on Iran.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, notes that the national average price is at its highest amount this late in the calendar year.
