The Romanian government is set to amend an order to improve the efficiency of grain exports through the Port of Constanța. Agriculture Minister Tanczos Barna announced the move following a meeting with Transport Minister Radu Miruță, railway companies, port officials, and farmer representatives. The goal is to reduce delays and administrative hurdles that slow down the transport of agricultural goods.

The key change involves shortening the time required to issue port permits for unloading freight trains. This adjustment aims to address congestion and streamline logistics flows. Better coordination between rail and road operators will also be enforced, along with stricter penalties for non-compliance with regulations.

Transport Minister Miruță emphasized that the regulatory changes will be implemented quickly. Further discussions are planned to explore additional logistical solutions that will help Romanian farmers export their grain more efficiently.
