Rotterdam LNG Bunker Price Crashes Amid Weaker European Gas Market

The LNG bunker price in Rotterdam has retreated from its six-week streak of consecutive gains. The price broke down by $119/mt to $1,488/mt. This decline was largely driven by an approximately 11% drop in the front-month Dutch TTF Natural Gas contract.

According to ANZ Bank's senior commodity strategist Daniel Hynes, prices for natural gas and LNG in Europe were dragged lower by the fall in crude oil prices.

The Middle East situation has also had a significant impact on supply. Despite increased competition from Asia for LNG, European prices corrected lower due to technical factors after the recent rally.
