Rupee Gains as Crude Prices Fall, RBI Dollar Sales
The Indian rupee strengthened on Tuesday, closing at 95.84 per dollar after Brent crude prices fell by 3% to around $85 a barrel.
The currency's gains were also attributed to dollar sales from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in both onshore spot and offshore markets.
Traders expect the rupee to trade between 95 and 96 on Wednesday, as they will likely refrain from taking large bets ahead of the US Fed decision on rates.
