The Indian rupee is expected to open weaker on Tuesday due to rising oil prices and increased demand for dollars.

Brent crude rose by around 5% on Monday amid stalled US-Iran peace talks, pushing the price toward $88 a barrel.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been selling dollars at current levels, capping losses and preventing the rupee from falling further.

One trader noted that without the RBI's support, the pair would already be trading above 95.50.
