Russia Floods Uzbekistan with Record Amount of Agricultural Goods
Russia has significantly increased its agricultural exports to Uzbekistan in recent months. According to data from the federal Agroexport centre, Russia supplied around 930,000 tonnes of agricultural products to Uzbekistan between January and August 2026.
The total value of these exports reached US$916 million, marking a record for the period. This represents a 36% increase in value compared to the same time last year.
The main drivers of this growth were increased supplies of sugar, soybean cake and meal, as well as other agricultural and agro-industrial products. The five largest categories by supply volume were sugar at 293,000 tonnes, soybean cake and meal at 211,000 tonnes, wheat at over 71,000 tonnes, non-alcoholic beverages at more than 41,000 tonnes, and sunflower oil at over 31,500 tonnes.
