Russia Launches Arctic Oil Exports from Vostok Project

Russia's Rosneft has begun commercial oil exports from its Arctic Vostok Oil project, a key development aimed at boosting long-term production.

The first shipments of crude oil have been loaded onto specialized ice-class tankers at the newly built Bukhta Sever terminal on the Taimyr Peninsula.

Rosneft plans to increase exports to around 600,000 barrels per day by the second half of 2027 and reach 1 million barrels per day by 2030, according to the company's projections.
