Russia Targets Ukrainian Grain Port Amid Escalating Missile Attacks

Russia attacked Ukraine's largest grain export port on the Danube, causing damage and starting a fire.

The port of Izmail, near the Romanian border in Ukraine's southern region of Odesa, handles exports of grain and other commodities.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has urged the US to send more air defense missiles, specifically Patriots, to help protect against surging Russian ballistic missile attacks.

Zelenskiy warned that Ukraine needed at least 5% of the current US stockpile of Patriot interceptor missiles to ward off the attacks, which he said would allow them to 'go through winter and save people's lives'.
