Russia-Ukraine Conflict Escalates Amid Zelensky's US Visit

Russian forces struck at least four Ukrainian regions overnight, killing five people and wounding several others.

The attacks came as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was in the US to meet with world leaders, including former President Donald Trump, seeking their help to end Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Zelensky said his country's forces had damaged two Russian oil refineries in their latest long-range strikes, which have been a key target for Ukraine since Moscow repeatedly attacked its power grid.

The supply crunch caused by the war has exacerbated global shortages and higher prices, with Western analysts estimating that Ukraine has recorded over 500,000 military casualties, including up to 140,000 deaths.
