Russian Oil Revenues Soar Amid Middle East Crisis
Russia's oil revenues have reached an all-time high amid the crisis in the Middle East. According to Bloomberg, Russia earned approximately $2.75 billion from seaborne crude oil exports last week, exceeding the previous week's figure by about $180 million.
The surge is attributed to both increased export volumes and higher prices for Russian crude grades. The price of Brent crude has remained above $100 per barrel in September, with a peak of over $103 at the end of the month.
Russian oil exports have been on the rise due to a combination of factors, including instability in the Middle East and strong demand from buyers in Asia. Chinese oil refiners have begun purchasing Russian oil more actively, fearing a shortage ahead of the winter season.
