Russian Wheat Exports to Uzbekistan See 16-Fold Surge
Russian wheat exports to Uzbekistan have experienced a significant surge in recent months. According to data, Russia shipped over 71,000 tons of wheat to Uzbekistan during the first eight months of 2026, generating $12.6 million in revenue.
This marks a 16-fold increase in volume and a 13-fold increase in value compared to the same period last year.
The surge was largely driven by August, when shipments reached 65,000 tons, surpassing the previous trade peak set in September 2022, which saw monthly exports of 11,000 tons.
