Russian corn exports surged significantly in the first half of this year, according to data released by Agroexport. Analysts estimate that Russia exported over 2.6 million tons of corn worth approximately $580 million from January to June 2026.

This represents a substantial increase compared to the same period last year, with exports rising 2.7 times in volume terms and 2.4 times in value terms. The top five importers of Russian corn by volume were Iran, Turkey, China, South Korea, and Kazakhstan.

The report also notes that corn exports to several countries exceeded their total for the whole of 2025, including Turkey, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and others. Additionally, Russia resumed corn exports to Albania for the first time since 2023 and to Tajikistan for the first time since 2022.
