Russia's Wheat Exports Soar to Uzbekistan, Surpassing 15-Fold Growth

Russian wheat exports to Uzbekistan have surged nearly sixteenfold in the first eight months of 2026, marking a significant shift in agricultural trade between the two countries.

According to regional data, Russia shipped over 71,000 metric tons of wheat to Uzbekistan between January and August, with a total value exceeding $12.6 million.

The dramatic increase in exports corresponds with broader diplomatic initiatives between Moscow and Tashkent, which have worked to develop institutional mechanisms for regular dialogue and cooperation.
