The S&P 500 futures are expected to open lower on Monday as investors prepare for a week filled with earnings reports, inflation data, and signals from the Federal Reserve. The index closed Friday at 7,674.37, increasing by 0.43%, but closing the week 1.4% lower than it began.

The forecast for Monday is uncertain, with both positive and negative factors at play. On one hand, a rally in futures can follow Friday's recovery, while on the other hand, high interest rates and oil prices may restrain risk sentiment.

Nvidia's earnings report on August 26 will be a key catalyst, as investors look for hints on future guidance and growth potential. The company is projected to post Q4 revenues of approximately $92 billion and EPS of $2.09, implying around 97% revenue growth and 99% earnings growth YoY.

The Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole symposium will also be closely watched, with investors looking for hints on interest rate trends. According to Reuters, investors expect the Fed to raise rates with a probability of 35 percent in September and 66 percent by December.
