Samsung E&A Unveils Modular LNG Solution for Faster Project Timelines
Samsung E&A has made its full-scale entry into the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant market, unveiling its modular LNG solution at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The company's new 'LNG Module Package' is designed specifically for LNG liquefaction plant construction and targets the growing demand for modular solutions, particularly in small and medium-sized LNG projects.
The integrated package combines Samsung E&A's proprietary modular execution technology with Honeywell Technologies' AP-SMR (Single Mixed Refrigerant) LNG Process liquefaction technology.
Hong Namkoong, President and CEO of SAMSUNG E&A, said: 'The core competitive advantage of this package lies in combining Honeywell's proven process technology with our own modular execution capabilities to shorten project timelines and mitigate execution uncertainties.'
The pre-engineered and modularised solution can accelerate the project lifecycle from initial development through full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) execution, cutting total project duration by around 20 per cent.
