San Diego Gas Prices Drop, but Remain Higher Than Last Year
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County has dropped for the fifth consecutive day, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The decrease was only one cent on Saturday, bringing the price down to $5.694 per gallon. This is 5.1 cents less than one week ago but 28.1 cents more than one month ago.
Kandace Redd, a senior public affairs specialist at the Automobile Club of Southern California, stated that oil prices are now below $82 a barrel, which has helped push down gas prices. If oil prices stay lower and supply remains steady, the downward trend could continue in coming days.
