San Luis Obispo Gas Prices Rise Amid Nationwide Decline

The average price of gas in San Luis Obispo County increased by two cents to $5.92 per gallon last week, despite a nationwide decline in prices.

According to AAA, crude oil prices remain at around $80 per barrel due to instability along the Strait of Hormuz, which may prevent the typical seasonal shift in gas prices that usually occurs in August as road trips wind down and fall routines begin.

The highest average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is currently found in Mono County at $6.84, while Sutter County boasts the lowest average cost at $5.29 per gallon.
