SandRidge Energy Delivers Strong Q2 Performance with Cherokee Development Driving Growth
SandRidge Energy reported a strong second-quarter performance in terms of production, revenue, and cash flow. CEO Grayson Pranin attributed this success to its operated Cherokee development program and higher oil prices. The company's total production reached 19.7 MBOE per day, up 11% year-over-year on a barrel-of-oil-equivalent basis.
Oil production increased by 22% from the comparable period in 2025, while revenue rose 48% to just over $51 million. Adjusted EBITDA also saw a 49% increase to $34 million. Net income was approximately $27 million, or $0.72 per common share, compared with $19.6 million, or $0.53 per share, in the prior-year period.
SandRidge's cash flow from operations increased to $42.4 million from $22.9 million in the year-earlier quarter. The company plans to fund its 2026 capital expenditures and shareholder returns from operating cash flow. It has no debt and reported having around $115 million in cash, including restricted cash, or about $3.09 per common share outstanding.
