Santacruz Silver's $120M War Chest Fuels Acquisition Ambitions
Santacruz Silver Mining has undergone a significant transformation in just eighteen months. Gone are the days of living at the mercy of commodity swings and carrying debt, as the company now boasts nearly $120 million in cash and no outstanding debt.
The catalyst for this change is the average realised silver price of $76.33 per ounce in the first half of 2026, which has allowed mid-tier producers like Santacruz to generate cash at a rate structurally different from their recent history.
CEO Arturo Préstamo Elizondo has stated that the company's cash position had grown to nearly $120 million by the close of Q3 2026. This balance sheet transformation is the culmination of the arc, with revenue reaching $240.987 million in H1 2026, up 68% year-over-year.
The engine behind these figures is price realisation, as Santacruz sold silver at an average of $76.33 per ounce in H1 2026, up 130% from the comparable period of 2025.
