Sarawak LNG Terminal Gets Boost from Höegh Evi and PETROS Partnership
Höegh Evi and PETROS have formed a partnership to develop an LNG terminal in Sarawak, Malaysia. The Kuching liquefied natural gas (LNG) Terminal is part of the Kuching Low-Carbon Hub (KLCH) development.
The project aims to contribute to Sarawak's energy security and support growing energy demand. It will enable the development of new industries in Kuching by supplying natural gas for power generation.
The LNG terminal will comprise a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), mooring infrastructure, subsea and onshore pipelines, and onshore receiving facilities. PETROS and Höegh Evi will jointly develop, own, and operate the terminal.
'Höegh Evi is proud to work with PETROS as development partner in the Kuching LNG Terminal,' said Erik Nyheim, CEO of Höegh Evi. The partnership aims to support Sarawak's evolving infrastructure needs and enable long-term growth in the region.
