Saudi Abqaiq Oil Facility Hit with Fire after Drone Attacks
A fire has broken out at Saudi Arabia's Abqaiq oil processing facility in eastern Saudi Arabia, according to satellite imagery captured on Monday by the Sentinel-2 satellite.
The Abqaiq facility is considered strategically significant due to its capacity to process approximately 7 million barrels of crude oil per day.
The fire comes after a series of drone attacks targeting several sensitive sites and crude oil supply and transportation facilities along a route stretching from eastern Saudi Arabia to the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea, according to Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen's Armed Forces.
