Saudi Arabia has called on Iraq to prevent its territory from being used as a launch pad for attacks against the kingdom after intercepting drones targeting its oil infrastructure.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned what it described as 'reprehensible' drone attacks launched by Iran-backed militias from Iraqi territory.

Riyadh also urged the Iraqi government to take all necessary measures to ensure that its territory is not used as a launching point for attacks against neighboring countries.
