Saudi Arabia Drives Middle East Oil Export Rebound
Middle East oil exports have rebounded in September following a sharp increase in shipments from Saudi Arabia and increased flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
The region's key producers, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iran, collectively exported around 16.3 million barrels per day this month, marking their highest level since February when tensions with Iran began.
Saudi Arabia was a major contributor to the rebound, with its exports expected to reach around 5.4 million barrels per day in September, up from 2.45 million in August.
The recovery in oil exports is largely attributed to Saudi Arabia's decision to reroute shipments following attacks that damaged its East-West pipeline, leading to increased flows through the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
