Saudi Arabia Prepares for Possible Houthi-Linked Militia Attacks

Saudi Arabia is preparing for potential attacks by Iraqi militias linked to the Houthis, according to a Saudi official. The official told CNN that regional intelligence services have received reports of coordinated strikes on the kingdom's territory.

The alleged coordination is being carried out by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has ties with both Iraqi and Houthi groups. This comes ahead of a Turkish-Saudi-Pakistani summit in Mecca, where an agreement on joint defense is expected to be announced.

Saudi Arabia has already faced Houthi missile strikes from Yemen and drone attacks attributed to pro-Iranian militias in Iraq. The Houthis recently claimed an attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.
