Saudi Arabia Restarts East-West Pipeline After Drone Attack Disruption
Saudi Arabia has restarted operations on its East-West pipeline, which was shut down after drone attacks from Iraq earlier this month. The pipeline is crucial for the kingdom's oil transport routes and was severely disrupted when it was halted.
The state-owned energy company, Saudi Aramco, did not comment on the matter. However, sources close to the situation revealed that oil is now flowing through the pipeline at a low rate.
The East-West pipeline is of paramount importance given the current regional shipping disruptions caused by attacks and other factors. The pipeline's restart comes after it was forced to shut down on September 13 due to drone attacks, which also halted crude oil loadings at the port of Yanbu.
