Saudi Arabia restores East-West pipeline to full capacity
Saudi Arabia has fully restored its operational capacity to pump 5.8 million barrels of oil per day through the East-West pipeline, according to Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the country's industry and mineral resources minister. The announcement came on Tuesday during a panel discussion at the GCC 2026 Forum in Manama, Bahrain.
The East-West pipeline is a critical route for transporting crude oil, connecting eastern production areas to Red Sea export ports. The restoration of its full capacity marks a significant development in Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia has been relying on the East-West pipeline to reroute oil to Yanbu due to disruptions in oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz. The pipeline has played a key role in ensuring the continuity of oil exports amid regional challenges.
