Saudi Arabia Vows Firm Response as Houthi Attacks Escalate
The conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen has escalated again. The Houthis have launched missile and drone attacks on several cities in Saudi Arabia, including Yanbu, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Jazan, AlUla, and Taif.
According to reports, the attacks triggered warnings in six Saudi cities, but the danger has since passed. The Houthis have been targeting Saudi oil infrastructure, pushing oil prices above $100 per barrel.
The Houthi politburo said that the Yemeni response will continue and escalate as long as Saudi Arabia persists in its aggression against their people. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has expressed openness to holding talks with Iran.
