Saudi Arabia Vows to Protect Security Amid Regional Challenges
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has reaffirmed the country's commitment to safeguarding its security and stability. In his annual Royal Address, he emphasized that Saudi Arabia will not compromise on protecting its security and will respond firmly to any threat or attack.
Prince Mohammed stated that Saudi Arabia possesses highly capable human and military resources to confront and deter threats from any source. He highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in maintaining stability and security, citing the example of the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan.
The Crown Prince also emphasized the need for international cooperation to address global challenges such as the energy crisis. He noted that Saudi Arabia has served as a safeguard for global energy security by providing oil supplies to international markets despite escalation. The Kingdom has also established the Multinational Maritime Defense Alliance to enhance maritime security and protect shared interests in international sea lanes.
Prince Mohammed expressed concern over the continued attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza and called on the international community to play its anticipated role in reaching a lasting political solution. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's comprehensive support for the Yemeni government through the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, aiming to extend the government's authority throughout the country, restore stability, and confront terrorist attacks.
The Crown Prince also highlighted the success of Vision 2030, which has seen performance indicators achieve 93% of their targets. He noted that non-oil exports have grown by 155% compared to 2016, reflecting the growing presence of products from this sector.
