Saudi Arabia Vows to Respond After Drone Attacks Escalate Yemen Conflict
Saudi Arabia has condemned recent drone attacks on its territory, stating that it reserves the right to respond and deter those responsible. The statement came after Yemen's Houthis claimed drone attacks on Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure on Monday, framing them as retaliation for Saudi drone incursions.
The Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeidah was struck by Saudi Arabian forces on Friday. Major-General Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, blamed the Houthis for the escalation, calling their attacks 'cowardly and reckless'.
