Saudi Arabia's Actions in Yemen Tied to US Approval
A senior official from Yemen's ruling Ansarullah movement says Saudi Arabia coordinates its actions with the United States and cannot make decisions without its approval.
Mohammed al-Farah, a member of Ansarullah's political bureau, emphasized that Riyadh's decisions are intended to serve Washington's interests in the West Asia region.
The Saudis know very well that any escalation of tensions is to their detriment, and they tend to evade the spillover effect on their oil facilities, particularly those run by Aramco, Farah pointed out.
The United States has asked Saudi Arabia to steer clear of provocative steps, as it does not want to open up a new front that could harm its strategic interests, especially given tensions over oil supplies and maritime traffic in the region.
