Saudi Aramco CEO Warns of Dangerously Low Global Oil Stockpiles
The global supply of oil has reached alarmingly low levels, according to Saudi Aramco (ARMCO) CEO Amin Nasser. Speaking on Monday, Nasser warned that even after normal shipping resumes through the Strait of Hormuz, it could take up to two years to replenish the world's oil stockpiles.
Nasser described the current state of oil reserves as 'scarily thin,' highlighting the urgency of the situation. The Strait of Hormuz, a critical choke point for global oil supplies, has faced disruptions that have further strained already tight inventories.
The warning comes amid concerns about potential supply shortages and price volatility. Nasser's comments underscore the fragility of the current oil market, where even small disruptions can have significant impacts on global energy security.
