Saudi Aramco has informed European refiners that they will not receive crude oil next month due to an attack on the East-West Pipeline in Saudi Arabia.

The pipeline, which stretches 1,200 kilometers across the Arabian Peninsula, was damaged in a drone attack last week blamed on Iranian-backed militias in Iraq. Three pumping stations along the route were affected, according to satellite imagery and industry sources cited on September 17.

The pipeline's shutdown has triggered a scramble among some Aramco customers to secure alternative supplies. Poland's Orlen SA has issued over 10 tenders since Friday as it seeks to source replacement crude.
