Aramco CEO Amin Nasser is studying options to expand Saudi Arabia's crude export routes, according to recent remarks. The move comes as a response to the ongoing maritime crisis in the region.

The current map of Saudi Arabia's oil exports is simple on paper but complex at sea. There are three main routes: Route 1, which passes through the Strait of Hormuz; Route 2, the East-West Pipeline to the Red Sea; and Route 3, which runs through Egypt.

Nasser mentioned that engineering and feasibility work for a fourth and fifth route is already underway. However, he did not provide further details on the potential destinations, capacities, or timelines for these new routes.
