Saudi Aramco Halts Crude Shipments to European Refiners Amid Pipeline Attack
Saudi Aramco has notified at least two European refiners that it will not deliver crude oil next month after an attack damaged its East-West pipeline.
The pipeline, which carries Saudi oil to Europe, was targeted by the Iran-backed Houthi militant group on September 8, causing disruptions in oil loadings at Yanbu.
European refiners typically purchase Saudi crude under term contracts that guarantee monthly supplies, but Aramco has informed some customers that their October deliveries will not proceed.
