Saudi Aramco Rushes Emergency Response Plan Amid Ongoing Attacks

Saudi Aramco is taking swift action to protect its critical infrastructure from ongoing attacks. According to documents, the state oil giant is accelerating a plan to establish an emergency contractor support system. This initiative will allow for quick response and repair of damaged assets. The move comes as Saudi Arabia faces threats on multiple fronts, including recent attacks by Iran-aligned militia groups in Iraq and Houthi forces.

The Long-Term Agreement Contracts will include procurement, construction, start-up, and commissioning of selected brownfield oil and gas emergency and intervention projects. Contractors will be invited to bid in mid-October with a plan to award contracts in November and begin work later that month. The East-West Pipeline, which was attacked two weeks ago, is one of the assets at risk.
