Saudi Aramco has temporarily shut down its Jazan oil refinery after an attack claimed by Yemen's Houthi movement damaged key facilities at the site.

The refinery, which can process 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day, is one of Saudi Arabia's major energy assets and plays a crucial role in supplying refined petroleum products to domestic and international markets.

According to reports, the attack damaged the refinery's integrated composite gasification cycle complex and the oil storage tank area, forcing operations to halt while repairs are carried out.
