Saudi Capital Targeted in Houthi Ballistic Missile Attack

Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, was targeted by Yemen's Houthi rebels in an attempted ballistic missile attack, according to the Saudi government.

The attack, which was intercepted, marks a significant escalation in the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthis.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for targeting 'sensitive sites' in Riyadh and facilities of oil giant Aramco in Yanbu, causing 'massive fires.'

However, there were no reports of casualties or damage from the attack, which was thwarted by Saudi defenses.
