Saudi Crown Prince Seeks Egypt Support Amid Houthi Attacks

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi in Cairo to seek support amid intensified attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels on Saudi shipping and infrastructure.

The Houthis have made fresh gains in Yemen, capturing more territory and strengthening their ability to threaten Saudi oil exports through the Red Sea.

The meeting between the two leaders came as the Houthi offensive opened a new front in the wider regional conflict, further straining global oil markets and regional trade.
