Saudi Energy Facilities Hit by Attacks, Oil Prices Soar
Saudi Arabia's energy sector has been hit by attacks in its southern region, forcing the temporary suspension of operations at some facilities. The strikes on Tuesday morning caused fires and injuries to several residents.
Specialized teams are working to contain the fires and assess the damage to various energy installations in the affected area. Measures have also been taken to ensure personnel safety and maintain continuity of operations according to approved plans.
The attacks come after a Saudi Aramco oil refinery in Jizan was targeted on Monday, with its 400,000 barrels-per-day capacity being repeatedly threatened since July. The incident has sent oil prices soaring, with Brent reaching $98.70 per barrel and WTI rising by 2.89% to $94.12 during Asian trading.
