Saudi-Malaysia Takedown: 505kg Ketamine Haul Foiled by Joint Operation
A joint operation between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia has successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle 505.6kg of ketamine, a type of synthetic opioid.
The operation was made possible through information sharing between the two countries' authorities, with the Malaysian Royal Customs Department's Anti-Narcotics Unit seizing the drugs from a network involved in producing and trafficking narcotics.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior praised the close operational coordination between the two countries, saying it reflects strong security cooperation in tackling transnational organised crime networks.
